Each year the Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges sponsors an undergraduate mathematics competition. The competition was started in 1989 by Gary Gordon and Tom Yuster of Lafayette College.
This year's contest is scheduled for November 3, 2007 and will be held at Moravian College. If you wish to participate, be sure to contact your local LVAIC mathematics competition coordinator.
This is a team competition held during the fall semester at one of the participating institutions. The contest is a 3 hour exam consisting of approximately 10 questions. Each team of 3 or 4 students works together to solve all the problems.
The 18th LVAIC Math Contest, held at Moravian College on November 3, 2007 attracted 28 students.
The winner of the Math Contest will be announced the the Moravian Student Mathematics Conference on February 16.
We have several tests from previous years in pdf format.
