This year our workshop will be one June 25,
26, and 27 here at Moravian
College in Bethlehem, PA.
Topics:
Topics include an introduction to fractals and iterated systems,
fractal dimension, and cellular automata. In addition to lectures and
demonstrations, the workshop will include hands-on activities and
lesson plans which incorporate the material into the current high
school and middle school curriculum. Last year's topic list is
here.
Provided:
There is no cost for participating in the
workshop. Participants will receive a preliminary version of a
fractal geometry lab manual, and other fractal resources
(books/videos). Lunch will be provided each day. In addition, we
have funds to provide lodging in Bethlehem to a limited number of
participants.
